What is Silver Clay?

Silver clay, also known as metal clay or precious metal clay, is a crafting material made up of very fine particles of pure silver mixed (that have been reclaimed & recycled from various industries!), with an organic binder and water. It comes in different silver purities and can be hallmarked, ensuring you receive a high-quality, authentic piece of jewellery.

The Creative Process

Silver clay can be moulded and shaped like regular clay, which allows me to create intricate designs and detailed patterns using various techniques. Once the desired form is achieved, the piece is fired either in a kiln or with a butane torch. This process burns off the binder and fuses the silver particles together, resulting in a solid, silver piece. There is something truly special about starting with a lump of clay and transforming it into a beautiful silver jewellery that will be treasured.
