When you receive a piece of jewellery, the experience doesn’t just begin when you open the box, it starts with how it’s packaged.

At Hazel’s Jewellery Shop, I believe that beautiful jewellery shouldn’t come at the cost of the planet. That’s why I’ve taken a thoughtful approach to packaging, ensuring it reflects the same care and intention as the pieces inside because it doesn't matter how sustainable the jewellery is if it's then wrapped in harmful packaging!

Why Sustainable Packaging Matters

Packaging is often overlooked, but it plays a big part in the environmental impact of a purchase.

From excess plastic to unnecessary waste, traditional packaging can quickly add up. Choosing more sustainable options is one small way to reduce that impact, without compromising on the experience of receiving something special.

Thoughtfully Chosen Materials

Every element of my packaging has been chosen with sustainability in mind.

✨ FSC Approved Boxes Both my jewellery boxes and postal boxes are FSC approved, meaning the materials come from responsibly managed forests. This ensures that the resources used are sourced in a way that protects the environment for future generations. The jewellery boxes are a great way to store your jewellery neatly in your jewellery box!

✨ Plastic-Free Packaging I never use plastic in any of my packaging. Instead, I use eco-friendly alternatives such as shredded tissue paper, that are kinder to the planet while still keeping your jewellery safe and beautifully presented.

✨ Supporting Small, Sustainable Businesses My leaflets, stickers, business cards & boxes are sourced from small businesses that share my values. They use sustainable paper and card, alongside ethical production practices, something that’s really important to me when choosing who to work with.

✨ Buying in Bulk Where possible, I buy packaging materials in bulk to reduce excess packaging and minimise waste across the supply chain.

Sustainable packaging doesn’t mean sacrificing the unboxing experience.

In fact, I believe it makes it more meaningful.
