Inspiration & Design
Inspired by the Victorians' love of using animals as literal motifs in their jewellery, this handcrafted silver necklace takes one of Halloween's most recognisable creatures and gives it a romantic twist.
Shaped into the silhouette of a bat, the pendant has been carefully textured using a piece of vintage lace, pressing its delicate pattern directly into the silver clay.
It's my take on Gothic jewellery for those who love the darker side of style but still appreciate beautiful details, vintage inspiration and traditional craftsmanship.
Perfect for adding an elegant nod to Halloween without reaching for novelty accessories, this necklace can be styled throughout autumn and then worn long after spooky season has ended.
Because bats deserve a place in your jewellery box all year round 🦇🖤
Each necklace is slowly and thoughtfully handcrafted in small batches.
Materials & Measurements
The bat pendant is handcrafted using fine silver clay, made from recycled silver particles, water and an organic binder.
A piece of vintage lace is pressed into the clay by hand to create the intricate surface texture before the pendant is carefully refined and fired. During firing, the binder burns away, leaving behind solid fine silver and preserving the lace-inspired details in the finished piece.
The pendant is finished with eco-sterling silver findings and chain
Measurements: Bat 3cm wide, Chain 16 & 1/2 inch (Total length: just over 17 & 1/2 including the bat)
