Today, I’m so excited to introduce you to a truly wonderful small business. Sunnydays Skincare creates beautiful natural skincare products designed to nourish, protect, and care for your skin, all while being kind to the planet.

Can you share the story behind starting your business?
Kim: I started my business after struggling with my mental health a lot during the first covid lockdown 2020. I realised just how much skincare could be used as part of a relaxing daily self care ritual to calm my mind! I also noticed there was a gap in the market for skincare that helped sensitive skin but was also not full of chemicals and long confusing ingredient lists so I was inspired to create simple but good quality products that actually worked.
Lockdown was such a challenging time, but it’s amazing that it led you to discover this calling. I love that you choose to use only natural ingredients – it can be so difficult these days to know exactly what we’re putting on our skin.
Could you share a little about the key ingredients in your products?
Kim: I research into many ways I can make the ingredients in my products work for sensitive skin but also still be more natural.. I use a mixture of brands such as Nikura and The Soapery for my oils and butters as I know them companies don’t put any added nasties in their products.
It’s wonderful that you choose suppliers who never add any hidden nasties to their ingredients.
I’d love to know, why is natural skincare is a better choice?
Kim: Personally for me natural skincare has done wonders for my own skin and I have always believed in the power of plants more as I’m vegetarian and have been for years I have seen it’s healing effects first hand as well as my customers and experiences being so positive too! Natural is also better for the planet which is an added bonus.
I couldn’t agree more! You can always count on the power of plants, and it’s such a bonus that they’re better for the planet than synthetic ingredients.
I’d love to know, what are your top three products and why?
Kim: My top 3 fave products of mine are my hand cream as this was a real passion project of mine! My soap bars as they are so much fun to make! Lastly my cherry bomb body butter as I am in love with the scent of cherries!
That’s such a great top three! I’ve always loved the sound of your Cherry Bomb Body Butter (I think I’ll have to treat myself to a pot soon) And I love that your soaps are so fun to make; they’re absolutely beautiful. What are your future plans for your business?
Kim: My plans for the near future are for Christmas time.. I would love to have some festive scented soap bars launched! I am always working towards star seller on Etsy every month this is a big goal of mine and hopefully fingers crossed I can have my website up and running by end of this year
