Where Jewellery Designs Begin - My Creative Process

Jewellery design Inspiration is a funny thing. Sometimes it arrives almost unnoticed. Other times it feels like a spark that instantly turns into a new design idea that I can't wait to make!
When people ask where my jewellery inspiration comes from, the truth is that it can come from many different places.
One thing that will probably never change though is my love of all things vintage. I’ve always been drawn to objects that feel like they have a story behind them, pieces with character, texture, and a sense of history. Vintage design often carries a kind of quiet beauty that I love to reinterpret in my own way.
But inspiration can come from anywhere, the tiles in a manor house, the pattern on someones skirt or even the marks left by the ebbing waves!

The Story Behind the Secret Garden Collection
For example, the Secret Garden collection was inspired by the magic of The Secret Garden childhood film (one of my favourites!) the idea that somewhere behind an old door covered in tangled ivy, a beautiful world is waiting to be discovered.
As a child, my grandparents’ garden felt like my own secret garden. It was a place filled with flowers, hidden corners, and plenty of wonder. I remember wandering through the garden, noticing the shapes of petals, the colours of the leaves and feeling like I had discovered something special where anything was possible.
When I began designing this collection, I wanted to capture that feeling of wandering through blossoms and enjoying nature’s treasures. Jewellery has a wonderful way of carrying emotion and memory, so my hope is that these nature inspired jewellery pieces allow you to enjoy a little piece of nature’s beauty wherever you are.
